Hey the inside is ALWAYS frosty now that winter is here. any tricks or products to prevent this?
also my 1990 takes forever for the heat to get warm any ideas?
do u smoke?
fog build up on the windows you mean?
if so, it plagues many, much so myself since…ya lol.
there’s this product from Crappy Tire u can use, it doesnt
allow the windows to fog up or get steamed, sucks with the winter months.
Its because your floors are wet. The best solution is to take your mats out and dry them…while your mats are out…if you take a nice long drive, just blast the heat on the floor to help dry them.
Another trick is to let the inside of your car cool down before you shut it off… it sucks but you basically have to open your windows up for a couple blocks prior to parking it… when you get out… leave your doors open so the inside of your car reaches the same temp as the outside… that way you will have no window condensation. Rubber or plastic floor mats are always a good idea to keep the snow and ice from saturating your carpet.
A faulty thermostat may be causing your slow heat.
ya its defienlty due to moisture, im thinking of putting the drive mat back in my car, (i took it out since it woudl slid up and not let the clutch go down far enough), but its been happening to me so i might as well
^^what educated_idiot said, especially the part about turning off the heater sometime before turning the car off, windows down, leaving doors open a bit longer before shutting.
you could also try something called HumidX (i believe it’s called that). It’s made by the same guys as RainX iirc. You wipe it on the inside of your windshield and it should help a bit but don’t count on it solving your problems. If you do what educated said along with applying the HumidX I’m sure you’ll find a big improvement. A bottle of RainX is like 5 bucks at CT or Walmart so I’m sure HumidX is around that area…doesn’t hurt to try.
Sweet guys ill try it out and keep you posted.
godam ya i have the same problem my poo40 has shit heat takes forever to get warm soo annoying
If the inside if your window has frost on it, to the point where you have to scrape it off, then it could be your windows. I left my windows down by accident one time and the whole inside was covered in ice. Obviously you didn’t leave yours down, but do your windows go up ALL the way? Do they leak in car washes?
Clean your damn windows… the moisture sticks to the nasty resude on the glass.
Clean windows, no fog… unless your car leaks and the carpets have a considerable amount of water on in them.
