my alarm tells me the temp in the car, dad parked my car outside instead of in the garage, interior temp dropped below 0 and the inside of my windsheild completly froze…its soo gay i couldnt see a thing and i couldnt even wipe it off u have to scrape it and get ice/frost all over the dash n everything else or wait 10 minutes just until the heats hot enough to weaken the ice/frost so i can wipe it off…my parents cars look to have the same thing but the ice/frost is always on the outside…a simple spray of washer fluid and wipe gets it off in no time. This only ever happens when its bellow 0 interior temperature. Whats the cause of this and how can i fix it…? Moisture in the car and perhaps a leak letting outside air into the car? I geusse i have to leaktest all my seals. sunroof seal is mint just replaced that in summer with a brand new one…im thinking the back portion of the side windows…since water squirts at the back of my head if i go in a carwash  Any one else having this problem? Thanks guys take care

most s13 windows dont seal very well, but i’ve never had any water come in the car… even in a car wash.
I’m not sure why it would freeze up on the inside of your windshield unless its actually leaking around the seal. Just seems weird that you would have enough moisture on it to freeze in to a significant layer of ice.
I have found that in the winter when you have snow on your boots and the carpet in the car gets wet, alot of moisture is released. When you leave it overnight the moisture condenses on the window and freezes when it’s cold enough. Make sure your carpet stays dry.
atually a touchless wash will get water pas the seals realy ez or anytihgn with a really high pressure spray, even brand new bmw convertablies have this issue, i always had the keep the pressure washer away from the windows near the top so as not to blow water in past the windoews when i worked there
Ive also heard this, a good way to keep them dry is to buy some plastic cheapo floor mats from crappy tire. That way you dont have water soaked into your carpet.
Exactly, we get the same thing when putting the courtesy cars outside in the morning (at work).
Hmm…yea thats what i figured just moisture inside the car. Well i already have aftermarket mats but there was this huuge white brick i found when i bought the car…looked like a brick of coke but anyways i figured it was sumthing that draws moisture into it…ill try putting that under the seat. Thanks guys

I have had that problem to, with my windshield.
But the real question is
Is the ice really MAD? maybe its nice ice. maybe it just wants to say hi you know?
Yea Sasha it reflects upon myself and i was madd cuz i couldnt see. So it was furious madd ice.

I encounter this regularly, the moisture enters throught the rear inner wheel wells since they are rotten.
the air is humid and moist and becomes trapped at night with nowhere to go so becomes frozen to the windows, my hatch mostly
yeah i was thinking the same thing, madd ice yo, or jdm tyte ice
This May sound weird, and incredably Stupid… But try this out…
Get about two whole news papers and place one on you passenger seat, and one on the rear seat…
LEave them there for a little bit.
Again, it sounds weird, but the paper will Absorb the moisture in the car, after a little wile when the paper feels moist ( not wet to the tuch though ) replace it.
i have learned this after Storing ~4 cars for a Extended periouds of time.
i had this problem last year but i havent had it at all this year. im not sure why. only difference inside is i have mats this year.
A box of Arm and Hammer will do the same thing.
A little easier to deal with than soggy newspaper.
Put the box on its side inside a little tray (to catch the spillage) poke some holes in the box (whatever side is facing up).
it would do the same thing, and news paper wont get soggy, this is why is said put it ON the seat, So i catches the moisture in the air rather then whats on the floor.
id like to know if the ice was in fact angry

when the temp drop below freezing at night the water vapour will freeze on your windshield because it has no where else to go. Try opening your window just a bit to let the moisture out. But it sucks when you do that and it snows like crazy all night long and you go out in the morning and find snow all over your seat
