what i was thinkin. if he has to tack on a couple hundred to the price of the truck. Its not worth my aggrivation to hold the car, and get it fixed. It’ll go to auction anyways.
the truck is in Johnstown so i got a nice drive. Luckily it’ll be early in the morning when its still dark, so I shouldn’t get nabbed on the highway for tags.
Sorry to hear all that trouble, sucks that in the end a broken spring did you in. Any new car dealer is sending that to auction or maybe to their “affiliated” used lot but in either case the inspection isn’t gonna matter. Good luck getting your new truck!
Ok I will admit that at one point in time there WAS a certain amount of duct tape on the car. Geo Thunder Lighting Storm was an unstoppable beast. Blown shocks, totally worn out springs, headlights that couldn’t be aimed and doors that wouldn’t open or close in the winter time…I miss that car.
I hate the inspection process with a passion. What a primarily useless money grabbing scam mandated by our state government.
well, with no inspection they wanted to take it for a ride, while i was test driving the truck.
Just as one of the saleman was walkin out to it, the owner came running out of his office, and took the keys.
When they returned, the dealership owner had a big smile on his face. He said, “this is one of the funnest sedans I’ve ever driven.”
But they’re offer was $1000 under what i owe on the car, so i told them to think about the $1000 difference, and call me when they’re ready to sell it.
I said it, knowing that they can come down $1000 in the truck’s price. So no worries, just gotta wait.
