well I got an HID kit for my car today and installed it aswell its been bugging the hell out of me going from a car with HID to this. So I fixed it for myself.
Oh man we have to work on those HIDs
Upwards glare, that’s mainly the reason why your cell phone cam is freaking out.
I thought you were edging towards a true retro after the last meet.
When you hooked it up, did you hook up the ballast to the stock headlight connector (+/-) or did you do it the right way and take the lead that’s positive most of the time to the + on the ballast, and the neg lead on the ballast to ground?
For the Z32, when you flip the high beams the polarity on the low beams reverse. That reverse polarity can kill a ballast prematurely if the reverse protection is weak. My ballast don’t have reverse protection so I had to make 100% sure I didn’t ever hit that point, and that’s how I figured this all out.
If I make it to the next meet I’ll show you why with my Multimeter.
and yeah in that pic they werent aimed actually they werent even aimed correctly for the stock lights the left light was way up and the right side was not as high but still pretty high
ive lowered them since and there is no glare i drive behind all of my friends who have lowered cars and they dont get any of the normal annoying HID glare like they did with my other car
and I hooked it up to the stock wiring so we’ll have to talk about that next time im around your car
my car is off the road after saturday
got some other parts to go on
front upper adjustable control arms
rear adjustable control arms]

and I think thats all im doing then the car will be back out in august or so
Patrick, those look pretty much the same as I was considering some months ago. Don’t they have the directional venting in the rotors? Could you elaborate on the caliper adaptersas well? Hell, could you email me as much as you can so that I can replicate the same package - source, cost, links to source etc…
Thanks Patrick
Oh ya, almost forgot. I forgot to thank you at the KC meet for that cruise control pod. If you still have any bits left from the clip, I could use the glove box as well. Of course I’ll pay for it and I’ll send you an address to ship those goodies along with the other cruise bits to my brother’s place in Dundas since I won’t see you again til my tour is over next January. Unless you wanted to hold onto them for me til then.
The big brake package I like to order soon so I can have it shipped to Vuk in Mississauga.
