I just finished installing my 8000k HID kit on my kouki today and went out in the darkness to see how they look. And they look so good, I need to adjust the projectors a bit still but the light is really bright and colour looks really nice too, these pics don’t do it justice…

Excellent stuff bro. I’ve seen cheap ass civics with immitation bulbs similiar to yours, But yours looks like the real stuff. good stuff bra.

Can we see some pics of the cutoffs? Are there any shields on them? Are these the ones you’re doing in the GB?

i’ll snap some more pics tonight against a wall, and some of the install under the hood. These are not the MTEC kit like the GB because I purchased these before I started that, but still pretty decent. I had to do some cutting but just using a 1" holesaw in the cap. Then to make sure its sealed good I gobbed on some silicone. Wiring I had to do a bit of cutting but taped everything up nice and neat after. Just have to secure down the ballasts tonight and bamn its done.

Damn, I wish I had cash. THats one thing I would like to grab. Look nice. May be a little too blue, but its not like u cant change the bulbs.

Fuck, who told me to get 6000k ?? I knew I should have gone with at least 10 000k

I think 10 000k is more of a purple, so you pretty much have a choice between more of a blue shade, white, or purple. 8000k is more white than blue and looks really nice I think. These pics look too blue because of the white balance.

Anything over 6000K is either blue, or not over 6000K as advertised.

i think you should adjust your monitor because they look blue on mine.

you need to calibrate your monitor. I did. :slight_smile:

it’s COMPLETELY white. 0 red, 0 green and 0 blue taken from anywhere in the headlights…

i’m not saying it’s 100% white, beacuse the camera isn’t 100% accurate, but its exactly white in that photo according to photoshop.

proof: the top box is a square cut out of the headlight, the bottom is a white square according to photoshop - notice they’re identical? :slight_smile:

Do you still have your calibration tool? Can I borrow it? I’ve been wanting to calibrate my LCD for a long time now, but I didn’t want to spend the $ lol
