Installing a body kit

Hey guys, I am installing a drift kit on my 240 sx. I am having difficulty removing the rear bumper, do you guys know how it is being held up… so far all i found is the 3 screws around the plate. Do you guys have any tips for attacment of the front/back bumper/ sideskirts??

Thanks

To take off the rear bumper, you have to remove the WHOLE thing, cover, steal bumper and all.

You must strip down the trunk and unbolt it from there. In the compartment where the jack is in, down at the bottom (difficult to see) there are like 5 small bolts holding on the bumper from the inside. Do that on both sides. They will take some time, and it is a bit tedeous.

Then you must undue the main bolts. They are on either side of the spare tire well. Big ass bolts. I believe two on each side. Undo those.

If all the correct bolts are undone, the bumper should slide straight out. Careful as it will be pretty heavy.

Mounting up side skirts can be done with the combination of double sided 3m tape, rivet/bolts.

YOUR DUMB!!! sorry but seriously its a rear bumper us ur head…there is about 5 10mm bolts in the wheel wells behind all the plastic…hard to get it but yeah then there is 4 17mm or 14mm bolts holding on the the bumper support. remove thos and then it will come off! its easy…look before u ask dumb questions!!!

Wow, the hostility… I am 15 years old and am new at this. As I am sure that you have done this many times, congradulations on ur success as a uhh mechanic and a condescending jerk. I may be new at this stuff, however you must admit that a lot of it is esoteric. I am willing to learn but may need some help along the way. And wtf about the wheel wells, there wasnt any bolts there!!

I was able to remove the back bumper, thanks SRBURG13
