Interesting read on air filters, K&N takes a beating

if it happens to be a piece of hard metal or something and it somehow bypasses ur rings, and “falls” into the oil pan and somehow gets pumped thru and then lodges between ur bearing and crank/rod it COULD cause bearing failure, but yeah, most likely not.

well ya but i find that highly unlikely.

plus youd probably have to have stupid loose P-W clearences and loose-as-fuck rings. i just think there would be too much of an air force coming off the wall esp near the piston to let anything get close. but i see what youre saying

id say the most likely of scenarios would be a particle lodged above the 1st ring and on the side of the piston. it’d probably be so small that it wouldnt create more than a .001" scratch before it flung out
