I see all this hype on OIL filter studies . How about air filters?
I have been seeing K & N’s are pretty much junk. So whats " the best "
i dont buy the k + n filters being junk.
i also dont buy them being much better than any other filter.
The fact that its washable is nice tho, buy it once, use it for ten years ect.
That page is from 2004 so I’m not sure how much those products have changed by now.
I know, But its all I’ve found so far besides I’ve used brand X for XXXX years and had no problems.

Its a oil forum, but air filtration has a notable impact on the wear of a engine, and as a result, the oil analysis results.

i run a bone stock filter on my beast.
I always had a separate paper filter for the track…and ran another paper on the street.
K&N since I can wash and reuse.
