the K&N being reusable wins my vote, A few cunt hair CFMs isnt gonna discourage me from not buying one. they pay for themselves in the long run.

Oh wait he DIDNT once mention anything about CFMs :stick:
It also helps on the enviroment too :grouphug:

whitey would be proud

I don’t understand using surface area as a comparator (in this guy’s test or even K&N’s claims). The air doesn’t just hit the surface and stop, it has to travel through the pleats. I would think the volume would make a difference on restriction. So it kind of matters on surface area AND thickness, wouldn’t it?

Doesn’t really affect the results though.

Every motoX bike ever comes with foam filters…and they aren’t exactly low performance when you consider the power to weight or even just throw a leg over one…it could be because they’re just low cost for hte manufacturers, but I’d bet there’s a bit more to it.

I’ve heard it said that when the wind blows at Laguna Seca, that K&N filters let sand pull right through with obviously bad results. Dunno, that’s just repeating what I’ve heard from left coasters I know that do open track days there…

On the other hand, I’ve used alot of K&Ns over the years and have always been happy…
