ya man do it, and you can use my car in the video. I will not even take royalty’s if you get me the sr

Sure, all you gotta do is hook me up with a DVDr Camcorder.

Hi all! I’ve got a stock '92 240SX LE fastback 209,000 km which is unfortunately automatic

My 1st owned car was a 200SX and I had poked around the old site here and the IRC chat once or twice b4 I bought my 240 just over 2 yrs ago. Had to reregister my name though, so I take it my old posts are deleted now. I’d be somewhat surprised if anyone remembers me.

As much as I love drifting when intentional, it’s the unintended sort I’m really not so hot on with rear wheel drive. I’ve been considering getting a used Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, now that Mitsubishi has moved back north of the border. Would almost surely have to import from the US though to get the car I want, and deal with exchange, duty, and mod issues. Anyone think that’s insane?

What do you mean “unintended drifting?”

no car, no money, only hopes and dreams :stuck_out_tongue:
but I am looking into getting a 240sx

as opposed to having a chaperone with you to make sure you dont get into trouble while drifting :stuck_out_tongue:

hahaha Dvd cam, done and done.

Welcome all to our fantastic club.

Oh, you mean “unsupervised drifting.”

I said “unintended”, not “unattended”! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, I don’t have performance tires currently, but even if I did, are not 240’s notorious for losing grip? Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, of course. But as earlier stated, I did have a couple S12’s (with standard trannies) before my S13 and even with performance Pirellis they tended to hydroplane on wet surfaces rather easily. And in snow? - Fogetaboutit! I can’t get more than half way up my driveway half the time in winter, even with snows on! Now, one might argue that 240’s weren’t meant to be driven in winter, which is fine; but after all, not everyone finds it practical to own multiple cars.

Now, don’t get me wrong. If one likes to drift (RWD by definition? ) in a sweet lookin, budget stock sportscar (that can be economically upgraded to decent power) then a 91-93 240 is THE ride of choice! At least in my books! (or even pre-91 if you swap out the pignose)

So, I’m not exactly sure what umbrage might be taken by a conjoining of the words “drifting” and “unintended”; but all I was really getting at was that the 240’s minimal traction can get scary at times. Can this be fun? - hell YES! But not necessarily so practical, regardless of driving skill

um…if you get my drift

welocme guys

i drove my lowered s14 for the past 2 winters. i will be offering driving lessons, if you need them.

:stuck_out_tongue:

The SOHC 240sx has pretty good power…
I doubt the DOHC 11 extra hp is really going to change much…

Try the 240sx in winter with bald all-season on the rears. I did it for 2 weeks during december. np’s
