my name is Richard i’m from manitoba. i know this is a SON forum, but this is the only cool 240 forum i could find!!! i’ve been all over asking ? and try’n to get advice, but i’ve gotten no where. on here it’s different. thanks guys!

i’m 22 i’ve owned my 240 for a year and half now. i love it, will not buy another car, well maybe another 240!! it’s nothing speacail. ka24e, putting some upgrades and new parts on it. i got into a fender bender in edmonton, auto pac is gonna fix that one! soon, but it’s still broken. the head gasket blew in her, the front struts dont move, and the clutch is having some problems. i’ve bought the following.

10lb flywheel & stage 1 clutch(320$), automatice ecu(40$ no speed limiter!!), header(160$), exhaust(made myself), adj sprngs(70$ all 4) i just bought on ebay, they don’t look exactly like that!! new timing set(60$), race head gasket and all other gaskets on top end(80$), cold air(150), all this i got on ebay for a very big fraction of the price. compared to my local napa autoparts.

is that header really for the KAE? cuz it says 91-94…and the 91-94 came with a KADE.

i asked the guy if it would fit on my car he said yes.i made sure to tell him which motor i have. if it doesn’t fit, it’ll be going back! same with the cold air, i asked if it would fit, and they said yes. there’s suppose to know this shit, so they better not be bluffing me! i’m gonna lookinto it. i havn’t paid for the header yet, pay day is friday! so if it wont fit i’m gonna have to buy a different one. i’m gonna reask them about the cold air intake. they said it would fit. but i guess we will see.

lol, yes i do, it got me through the rough times in my life, it helps my back pain and when i can’t sleep. no harm in it, it grows wild so god must have put it here for a reason!!!

Hey, My names Stephen(Steven), Originally from Woodstock, but atm I’m living in wallaceburg, next to chatham, Im 17. I currently do not own a car, but I’m looking into getting a Nissan 240sx, I have had my eye on those since I was prob 14. I’m looking for a cheap one right now that needs work done, I plan on fixing it up and adding my own modifications to it, Kind of a summer project with me and my dad. So yeah any tips or advice you wanna share, let me know Ill post the pic of the car when I find one. and after pics when its finished.

i never let it make me stupid or unclear. i don’t smoke that much, not all day everyday i have 6 doobie’s in my mouth, you must do life in moderation. smoke drink and sex. all in moderation. to much of any of those will kill you!! mix all 3 together and we got my kinda party!!

but on a serious note, mary jane can be harmful to you if your family has a history of skitzo(sp???) even a little bit, it can bring that out in you. some ppl take it to far and smoke there brains out, every 2 seconds lighting up another bowl, thats to much, maybe back inhighschool we did shit like that, but not no more. maybe 3 times a day, and any time it is necessary to celebrate! like 4:20, gettin off work, etc.

just don’t get carried away with it.(smoking of pop cans gives u altimesz(sp). living prop a buddy of mine(he’s older then me) smoked off a pop can for as long as i’ve knwn him and he’s got altimerz at 32. b/c of the chimcals in the aluminum can, true story, starighten me up!)

so i’m trying to figure out how much power i should have after installing all the parts above, i was wondering if anyone could help me out, it doesn’t say about the header, or the light weight flywheel.
according to what they say on ebay about each part,
coldair- 7-15
chip(pic included)15-20
muffle(pic included) about 12
intake piece(pic included) 7
flywheel (11lb) ??? 15hp???
light weight crank pulley (1.11 lbs)- ??? 5???maybe
header ???15???

i kinda figured with all that it should make between 60-100 hp. do you think these numbers would be right? i don’t exactly have access to a dyno in brandon m.b!! shit hole never come here. just wanted to see if you guys knew, this will be the first time i’ve actually upgraded a car besides a home made exhaust( i did have a pipe bender in my dad’s shop, so it’s not canadian tire peices fitted together!! no CC tho, i tossed that hp robbin beotch out, what a difference in low end power!!). wanna know what kinda power i’m gonna be making after i put all this on. it’s going from stock, to all this in one shot. everything is gonna compliment everything, more air going in, more going out, chipped ecu, easier running, it’s gonna be a totally different car when i get to drive it again!!! let me know what think. am i missing any parts i should concider(adjustable fuel regulator?? thinking about it) new injectors and possibly a fuel rail are in the back of my mind.

v-tec is like bad sex, all the lag and no power. v-tech might be good off the line but once you get outa that rpm range, ur screwed. i’ve waxed so many v-tec civics with a stock ka24e(custom exhasut), everytime, he’s there off the line, but once he falls outa rpm, i’m gone. good ol’ ka24e, gotta love that low end torque! with some slight mods, a ka24e can be just as good as a stock sr. when i’m done puttin parts on i wanna get it dyno’d, i’ma list what parts i put on and how much hp it gave me… soon very soon i shall have my beloved 240 back… mmmmwhawhahwhahahaha…(should be around the 200-240 hp i figure. we’ll see!!)

FUCK V-TECH, only good cars to come from honda is the nsx & s2000.(only good car is a rwd car or awd, stupid ff!)

p.s thats a sweet ass 240 man! i like talons, only for the awd and the turbo, but that 240 is solid!! if it have nos, fuck yea!!! that makes it way worth it. what kinda rear end is in it, i was told if i went with a sr20 or bigger i’d have to change the whole rear end to take the torque, those rear axels are pretty small.

New member here. My name is Sean, I live east of London. Right now I’m driving a 1991 Accord EX-R 5 speed Coupe but I’m looking for something a little more…better lol. I was looking into getting an older 300ZX as a project car but I hear they have LOTS of problems. I’m hoping to get my hands on a 240SX sometime, and that’s what brings me here :D.

Ran into this website randomly. I’m actually from the US (Texas) and I drive a 93 S13 Fastback. Not much on it right now, just some mesh wheels and rsr springs. It’s my third s13 to date and I’m piecing together parts for a ka-t.

Welcome to the board man. I think we have a few guys from the US on the board that usually lurk or so.

Just be happy that your S13 isn’t a rustbucket like most old cars up here in Ontario (and generally the North-East region). Having a rustless chassis is more important than anything mechanical on the car itself, at least imo :slight_smile:
