Long story short, my hard drive took a shit, and i lost all of my songs… however they are still on my ipod. Is there anyway to extract them? I do not want to mess around and plug my ipod in, because i do not want it to update automatically and erase everything on it. . .and im pretty sure you can only change that preference if an ipod is plugged in.
Any help?

Nope, it has been taken out and replaced.
i use a program called ipod agent. apparently they changed it around and call it a new name now. i haven’t downloaded this new version, but it looks like it will do what you want it to.

:mamoru: You have to find a way to plug in your MP3 player without it automatically erasing? :lol: Yet another reason why I cannot understand why anyone would buy an I-Pod.
i’ve used copypod a few times and you can find a crack/serial for it.
if it doesn’t work, just close it and try again, it’s still simple, usable, and efficient enough where i don’t mind any hiccups that happen once in a while.

This only happens if you set itunes to synch with the ipod on connect.
And thats dumb.
