Iraqi Water Virus

I overheard from a nurse that a couple people in the Pittsburgh area have died from a virus which was transfered from on-leave soldiers from Iraq.

Apparently the soldiers drink water over there, then transmit disease to their family over here.

Has anyone heard anything else on this?

never heard of anything of the sort

I’m here and haven’t heard a thing about a disease from the water, granted they don’t have good water treatment here and its possible, but I doubt that is true. Plus we drink bottled water not faucet water.

I don’t think it’s the water that’s giving the virus.

Bad chain letters kill

I purify water here. no viruses and nothing in the water but chlorine and a few minerals. The amount of chlorine we add to the water is ridiculous so i don’t see anything surviving after the 30 minute contact time. I do know some lakes have amoebas that like to eat brain matter. But they don’t let anyone swim in the lakes here at Camp Slayer.

awww the memories…we drank bottle water only over there

did u shower in bottled water too?

no the kbr supplied showers you get electrocuted in
