I need to ship out the fiberglass bodywork from my motorcycle (race glass, PITA to ship). box will be like 47x25x24", 15 lbs. Going to illinois. Shipping through fedex was $141, but the guy said it would only be like $39 through greyhound. I’ve heard of people shipping transmissions and that type of thing. Are they careful enough for fiberglass bodywork (It will be wrapped, etc, but still. nowhere near as durable as car parts)
it’s usually ok, usually the freight has it’s own compartment, get insurance, if it breaks it’s not your problem, just take pics of it’s condition pre shipment
I had them ship a couple atv frames and a set of fiberglass fenders and never had a problem.
