Is my car possessed?

It seems as though once per year Im replacing the rear brakes on my car. Its the 03 type-s. Basically one of the calipers seizes, grinds my pads down to nothing, destroys my rotors and Im forced to replace everything.

In the past 2 years Ive replaced everything on both sides in the rear. calipers. rotors. pads. the ebrake cables. This last time the ebrake cables weren’t even connected to the rear calipers so Im not sure why they keep locking up on me. My front pads are over a year old and still have 75% life left. Im not excessively hard on the brakes.

Ive basically tried everything here. Even an exorcism. Any advice would be appreciated.

your e-brake cables keep locking up because your not using them on a regular basis… they just sit there and rust till they lock up. It also helps if you lube the cables before you install them AND make sure you dont fuck up the boot on the caliper end while instaklling them

As for your calipers, disasemble your rear brakes, clean the fuck out of the slider pins and their holes, use caliper greas on the pins when you reinstall them and install new boots for them too. If they arent cleaned / greased / sealed properly your just setting yourself up to do them all over again
