rear brakes seizing again

my rear brakes are seizing again. i took the caliper apart last weekend and greased the slider pins and put everything back together. worked for a few hours now they are seizing again. i took the wheels off and checked the ebrake and when i release the handle the assembly on the caliper wasnt going all the way back. so i pulled it back by hand and went for a drive but the brakes are still seized. im thinking im just going to buy new calipers. napa wants $156 each. could anything else be causing this or should i just buy new calipers?

note the calipers were just rebuilt in september because they were seized

You might have a sticky parking brake cable, check to see if they slide freely once disconnected from the calipars. Or they might have forgot to put the springs on the re-built calipars like they did on mine.

Yes, it’s either e-brake line, a slider that is slightly bent/rusty, or your caliper itself.

Since you already took them apart, I would say it’s most likely the caliper itself. Get it rebuilt and it wont cost you too much.

you could also try midwest calipers in scarborough. he has the lowest price on calipers that i have seen (rebuilt). 411 it.
