These aren’t cheap to maintain just so you know.

CQ’s are fucking awesome. parts can be expensive for them but the 5cyl drivetrain is borderline bulletproof.

Ill wait for Krant or Smeaf to chime in with their olde tyme audi knowledge

Looks decent, but be warn of the hard to find euro parts tax

Do you have any mechanical ability?

it even comes with electrical issues(usually you pay extra for that)!! YAYYY AUDI!!

I’ve owned a Coupe before and still kicking myself in the nuts for selling it. The motor and driveline on the car are bulletproof like people have said, and the car is a beast in the snow…

If you have no knowledge of Audis I would strongly advise in staying away. Parts are very hard to come by. Their is a abundance of parts for these cars in England where I sourced parts I needed through a connection. Also if you crack the windshield good luck… Last I knew there where less then a 80 of them in the States and Audi dealer were getting close to a grand for them. Although this was a few years ago.

Best place to get allot of your questions answeard and to learn more about the car is http://www.motorgeek.com/ run by O34 motorsports.

Good luck

This is not one of those cars… Thanks for the good info though…

:ham: :picard:

I think its sexy! Do it!!! Is this one a turbo 5cyl or n/a?

Keep rubbing it in!!!:spank:

My roomate had one of these in college and I loved it. Rare, cool looking nice ride. In terms of performance they are heavy and underpowered. I think they weigh like $3800 lbs?

$2500 seems like good deal if it’s solid underneath.

What year was it? I owned an 84 Coup for a while, that thing was amazing in the snow.

that’s a good looking car… don’t buy it as your only daily until you know you can trust it… haggle that price down and you’re good to go.

Very cool looking car. I’d bet you can get that price down with the battery draw issue, which could be something major or something very minor.

read the ad, the car has an issue with the battery draining :roflpicard:

My Audi of the Same body made me become much better at working on cars! These cars were built muuuuuch better than more modern Audis. However they are old, and issues start to creep up fast. Good at fixing things as soon as any sign of an issue shows up? Then you can daily it. You can’t ;et things slide, or they turn into basket cases.

$2500 for a clean southern Coupe Quattro is a good price, just make sure you check it over thoroughly. Some of the NLA part issues are or have been addressed, such as the Hitachi injectors-034 motorsports released an injector upgrade for these cars so thats no longer an issue. Windshields-yeah if that is cracked or cracks you are pretty much screwed, so get glass insurance on the car. I drove someones 91 CQ with a Stebro exhaust and while not the fastest thing on the planet it wasn’t a total dog. ONe thing that you will end up replacing, no questions about it, is the heat control box. It’s actually a GM part and they go bad on pretty much all of the cars. one guy actually did a manual knob swap but it looked HORRIBLE to do-dash completly out of the car.

my 90 rocked but the heater core repair sucked

try 3000.

so much misinformation in this thread.
