Is your NYS Inspection Sticker Falling Off....? Replace it for free.

:fu: :fu:

I was able to get under the dash and look up… No sticker. It must have gone out the window while she was driving. Now I have to go get a new one before I get a damn ticket.

As an inspector, the new stickers are a major PITA, they come in little stacks and guess what? The 2010 stickers stick to eachother very well in the stack despite each one being covered by a plastic shield, then when you take them out of the stack ant attempt to stick them to the windshield, they don’t stick very well. What I try to do is leave some residue from the old sticker, sometimes that works.

2nd.

Elmers glue sticks work well. like the chap stick type

i dont think ive ever had a problem with my inspection or registration sticker :gotme:

I am so sick of scotch tape on my windshield. Thanks.

you can use the double sided tape as well. put a little border around the edge of the sticker. works well and looks less ghetto.

the one i just got last week is falling off, but its no longer my car so I’m not worried

can i get anyones old sticker? i’ll pay 40 for it

Nice to see the state do this. The sticker on my work van almost flew out the window the other day!

Mine is falling off but I don’t mind. It makes it easier to put it on another vehicle.

FYI police agency’s have access to the electronic record of what sticker is on what car. I field calls all the time to confirm

so you are saying that they take the number off the windshield and run it?

or do they get the inspection number when they run the plates?

really though, if they are tied to the registration, and cops can run plates to check the registration, why have either stickers at all. lots of cops that i have talked to say they run darn near every plate that they are behind. that would tell them if the inspection/reg is valid without the need for stickers that fall off/look crappy etc.
