It's not POST DELETION it's FIREFOX PROBLEM

I use firefox, many people do.

If you think the thread has a lot of deleted posts it’s because you’re using firefox…
Brianphung was complaining the other day that he saw ‘every other’ post in a thread… I didn’t seem to have that problem with firefox at work but I DO have it at home.
If I open a thread in firefox I see posts 1,3,5,7,9,11
If I open it in IE then I suddenly see all the missing posts.

I don’t know if it’s tihs ugly ass theme or Vb in general but apparently SON is no longer compatible with firefox.

Seriuosly what is with this theme?

What’s funny is I can’t read what hurricane wrote cause I can’t see post #2
Ijust know he posted because it said so on the forum thread list.

There’s a reason why Firefox sucks.

Max can read this post - so I have to be nice here…

But this one - he can’t see …so now I will call him a complete homo

theres more reason why IE sucks.

every other VB forum works fine with firefox. whats wrong with SON?

happy240sx - I can see the bad one and not the nice on with firefox.

Guys, try going into the Default Forum style to see if it works.

Firefox also sucks b/c it’s a slow piece of wood. The only reason why that browser exists and is popular is b/c its users are zealots. If you look at actual benchmarks, it’s slower than IE, it’s LESS secure than IE, and it has a nice little “feature” that rapes your system memory. If you hate Microsoft so much, use Opera, cuz FACTS have proved that Firefox is garbage.

Show me the part where it’s less secure, FF is faster than IE on my computer, and every other one I’ve ever seen, you can turn the “feature” off, Opera is a good alternative as well, yes.

Also, the Default forum style still doesn’t work correctly, and as mentioned, this is the only forum I’ve ever been on that I had this problem.

However, I have IE Tab (FF plug-in, get it here) and it corrects the issue.

Edit: Also, the issue is intermittant I believe, because I wasn’t experiencing it last night with FF, and today it’s doing it.

He lists and links to all his sources.

Ok that’s great. This isn’t a FF vs IE debate.

Get over it…

P.S. this issue has been resolved.

I say we START a FF vs. IE debate.

Aside from speed because that cannot be proven - everyone will say theirs is faster regardless of the facts.

I use FireFox because Opera isn’t up to par on its language support and my IE is broken and I can’t figure out a way to fix it.

However, Internet Explorer is by far superior in every way with the exception of an SDK, which most people don’t benefit from anyway.

IE loads faster, uses less resources, is much much much more compatible, doesn’t crash every week, loads pages faster, is more secure, uses less screen real estate, and probably a lot more too

//edit// oh and dont even try to tell me that your firefox doesn’t crash because I use it on my notebook and at work also because I hate using different browsers at different pc’s and it crashes at least weekly on all of them.

firefox sucks…done.

The only thing that really bugs me about firefox is the zealots that use it. In a typical day like 3 mofos will tell me to use firefox. NO motherfucker! I’ll use what I want. I don’t really have some deep love for IE and feel the need to spread it to anyone, I just bash firefox b/c I have no patience for its user base. They’re almost as bad as apple users.

It’s the same with Linux users. :o

Agreed. Linux users are pretty bad as well. I’ve gotten into countless arguments at school with them. “it boots faster” Okay, we tested that theory, my WinXP laptop booted in less than half the time. “it runs faster” Again WinXP machine ran browser, word processing, spreadsheet, everything we tested, faster. “it doesn’t crash as much” I’ve NEVER had WinXP crash on me, it’s called being a competent computer user. I also don’t get viruses, spyware, etc… Yea, Linux users are a bunch of hoebags.

Firefox is one of the best things to happen to my computer, no adware, pop-ups, no problems on SON forums either. How can one browser be so much faster than another one? The only thing that matters is bandwith speed, which constantly changes all the time, so it would be kinda hard to get an accurate reading.
