rgr, i’ll dl’d the newest version and test it again.
Gonad, it’s all vanilla regardless of how you look at it.
So what’s the point of switching from IE then?
Unless you got on the interweb late. :mamoru:
Firefox > Netscape > IE.
Firefox sux.[/quote]
Funny how all the newbs switch to Firefox. I’ve had nothing but problems trying to use it. I’ve never gotten spyware in my life through IE, and that’s cause I’m not an idiot and I don’t download and run it.
Firefox sucks, and is for people who suck at the internet.
Netscape is by far the biggest POS ever.
Opra is clearly the best…
:werd: X 1000000
Firefox doesn’t suck that hard… But it offers no benefits over IE and has a nasty memory leak.

Gonad, Axlerod: Like I said it’s all vanilla. Regardless, Axlerod has a point IE has brute force exploits that can inject spy ware (malware) onto your system without consent. IE’s rendering engine is also loosely constructed where HTML code doesn’t have to be formatted correctly, thus the lack of proper webpage coding and construction causing most of the rendering problems today. Gonad you should appreciate Firefox’s ability to render pages faster then IE while keeping in mind that Firefox has tabbed browsing natively supported; it was the number one selling point for me.
However, I’ll leave this discussion for an actual IT/computer discussion board. Analyst’s are predicting most people will use one or the other and the spy/malware will even out in the end.
P.S. Axlerod, you’re an internet nub.
Private Sub BeginNerdTalk()
I started the interweb on Netscape 4.7. Even when IE was out, I used
Netscape. I then slowly switched to IE (this was back when it was 5.0 or
something I forget).
Then Mozilla came out with its new Netscape 7.0 or some shizzle. Tried it,
hated it, went back to IE.
Tried Opera, tried it, hated it, back to IE.
Firefox came out. I tried it early on, liked it, stayed for a bit, but just
missed IE for some odd reason. Went back to IE.
I’m a programmer/IT guy/HTML designer. I know IE doesnt’ give shit
about quality of the underlying HTML code. That’s why I always check my pages on W3C or some shit. So far, I’m a pretty clean coder.
End Sub
Ewww…
main()
{
printf(“Use a real language for fawks sake”);
}
I’ve used IE all the time, tried Netscape, hated it sooooo much. Tried Mozilla, hated it still. Tried Firefox, thought it was okay, stuck with it. Formatted, now I’m using IE, since I don’t miss anything from Firefox. And tabbed browsing is annoying, not convenient. Even with Firefox I never used it.

Negative. Nerd? Maybe. Nub? No. Internet nubs get spyware through IE and switch to Firefox. I know it has flaws, but Firefox has many more imo. IE integrates nicely with Windows, Firefox does not.
I dont know what it is with my system, but Firefox cant even display animated gifs without using 100% CPU power (P4 2.8).
Hey Hey, don’t be hating!!!
I switched yo FireFox about 2 months ago and I found it to be better the IE for things like Spyware and malware and a little faster. but tru enough that it is missing some nice features.
eather way I beleve this is a situation for the answer
To Eatch His Own
Like,
10 $ SET SOURCEFORMAT"FREE"
20 IDENTIFICATION DIVISION.
30 PROGRAM-ID. RealLanguage.
40
50 PROCEDURE DIVISION.
60 DisplayPrompt.
70 DISPLAY “This is a real language!”.
80 STOP RUN.
Next your going to tell me Java is crap and C is god!
Axlerod, flawed logic. Here’s the same logic applied to Linux. “Computer nubs get virus’ on Windows so they switch to Linux.” Think BBQ bro, not everyone wants a burger so they get a hotdog.
Road:
COBOL? :roll:
Considering how much I’m on the interweb and all that junk, I ran MS’
Anti-spyware on my system and it found only 3 things, all of which are
used by BearShare (which isn’t a big deal cuz I hardly use it).
Ran the same spyware on my bro’s computer, and found 23 spyware items. :noes:
All depends on how you setup your browser’s security settings.
Meh, this topic is going OT…
Back on track now…
