Here it is, the first instrumented test of the mighty almost $400,000 LF-A
Not very impressive if you ask me. I’d take many cars before I would even consider the LF-A, although it does look nice.
Curb weight: 3583 lb
PERFORMANCE:
Zero to 60 mph: 3.7 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.8 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 12.9 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 18.3 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.8 sec @ 124 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 202 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 156 ft
Roadholding, 200-ft-dia skidpad: 1.00 g
Yep, I’m arguing that with someone over on SF. Fuck paying 400k for a 124 car, that you have to explain to the general public why you paid 400K for it.
The only ones buying the LF-A are going to be Lexus nutswingers with too much money, and people with too much money that want something new just because it looks cool. Realistically if it were in the low $100K range it would fare MUCH better. Hell a used Z06 would beat it
You guys are missing the point. It’s a limited edition vehicle, it is absolutely gorgeous, the interior is beautiful, it may not be ridiculously fast or the best handling car, but I guarantee it doesn’t matter anyways because the day they even hinted of it being released they were already sold.
There making all of ~400 of these
Theres possibly going to be something following the LFA as well…
I agree with all of you thou, its way overpriced, but they can get away with it.
