One thing the console will not come with is a data transfer cable, as had been rumored. However, a standalone, $179 120GB drive for the console will be released alongside the Xbox 360 Elite bundled with a data transfer cable. So what about HDMI-craving HDTV owners who want to get an Xbox 360 Elite and transfer their current XBLM content to it? In one word: Wait. Penello said that Microsoft is “working on a solution” for transferring data from current 360s to Elites, but would not elaborate.
Don’t go selling your Xbox 360 just yet.
No doubt this “solution” will cost money.

If they were good guys they would do it through xbox live, set up some storeage, allow you to transfer the data and then transfer back.

That could potentially take forever if your 20GB drive is full. I’m just shocked they don’t have anything yet.
ouch $179 for a 120 GB hdd, almost as bad as the $100 I spent on the 40GB ps2 hdd that came with FFXI, but at least HDAdvance throws $ issues out the door.
