A lot of guys came up and were like “You’re spraying a stock GSR? That’s nuts!” I guess stock GSR and stock D fuel pumps are about at the limit of where I am spraying (just a 45 shot still).

The spray is nice, but it’s turbo time…sleeves + head work + bottom end build up coming soon.

I think its time to boost the stock GSR…how much more stuff do you need…you need to learn how to drive a 300whp setup before to step to 600!

should go mid 11’s with 300!

I could boost the stock GSR that’s in there, but it’ll blow up with the GT3582R at “efficient” levels of boost. Also, it’s consuming a lot of oil these days…I think the rings are shot in the one that is in there.

Let’s see, to boost the built setup, I need…

  1. manifold (full-race/Hybrid has a version?)
  2. wastegate (Tial?)
  3. fuel pump (in tank, at least 255 lph?)
  4. some couplers (from Hybrid probably)
  5. second swap sent for sleeves (again, Hybrid/Golden Eagle)
  6. rods (Turbo Tuff or Eagle H-Beams?)
  7. pistons (CP or Weisco?)
  8. Hasport (88a type) motor mounts
  9. upgrade fuel lines?
  10. 2nd transmission needs to be freshened up (new synchros, bearings, etc.)
  11. one of the shift linkage bushings need to be upgraded (the 2-3 slop is causing problems with hitting 3rd, combined with the current trans’ 3rd gear synchro problem.).

(Jeff, if you’re reading this can you think of anything else that I missed?)

I already have Greddy RS BOV, Wray’s old charge piping + intercooler, fmfkid250’s old injectors (“880cc” equivalent), and a clutch (ACT 6 puck, sprung).

I’m probably going to get a complete ARP fastener kit for this motor, and all the gaskets from a rebuild kit, don’t know which brand yet.

why u quote that ? they are not 880s?

that turbo will run good on a stock gsr…trust me!
