So im picking up a supercharger in the next week or 2 to slap on the gsr engine in my civic… before i put it on i was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in fabricating an after-cooler for it.
that’s what i was thinking. i just don’t have the tools, nor do i trust myself enough to cut up the plenum without destroying the plenum it-self or the flow characteristics.
yeah its a roots style… i would almost say instead of cutting the manifold apart, make one that gets sammiched between the blower and manifold about 2 inches thick… the hard part about that is finding a core thats the right dimensions
I’m not really looking for a turbocharger’s powerband… i have a b16 trans in my car as well so i think a super charger may be pretty fun and reliable. ill see whats up.
the only thing is the brackets for the supercharger and the pulley setup would need to me redone to make room for the extra few inches of thickness with a WAIC core stuffed between the blower and the manifold.
dont need the expensive meth. HEET/water mixture works too… much cheaper. Set it on a pressure sensor and relay to kick the pump on as boost comes in, or a throttle position switch/relay.
no need to spray that shit putzing around, but its there when you want to boot it.
