Jackson racing super charger question

So im picking up a supercharger in the next week or 2 to slap on the gsr engine in my civic… before i put it on i was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in fabricating an after-cooler for it.

something similar to LHT one
http://www.lhtperformance.net/documents/supercharger_intercooler.html

the easiest way to do this is to probably modify the supercharger plenum, or sandwich one between the charger and plenum.

lets see what you guys think.

Wonder if a water to air IC core cut to fit inside a plenum extension would work.

why not just cut an oem intake manifold in half and then weld in a water to air core?

that’s what i was thinking. i just don’t have the tools, nor do i trust myself enough to cut up the plenum without destroying the plenum it-self or the flow characteristics.

oh and what type of supercharger is it. a roots or a centrifugal ?

Roots im guessing every JRS setup i’ve seen on a civic is a roots, then again im not the master of hondass…

Master on hondas please chime in

yeah its a roots style… i would almost say instead of cutting the manifold apart, make one that gets sammiched between the blower and manifold about 2 inches thick… the hard part about that is finding a core thats the right dimensions

done

Why waste your money to pick up 40 horse?

im not doing for the hp, more so the tune-ability of the set-up. with the aftercooler i can run a bit more timing and so on

No i meant the whole super charger. Those jackson racing superchargers are a waste

i got a good deal on it.

Its a decent amount of work and money for not much of a gain

I’m not really looking for a turbocharger’s powerband… i have a b16 trans in my car as well so i think a super charger may be pretty fun and reliable. ill see whats up.

the only thing is the brackets for the supercharger and the pulley setup would need to me redone to make room for the extra few inches of thickness with a WAIC core stuffed between the blower and the manifold.

Meth-injection /thread

meth injection would be sweet if it was a track only car

dont need the expensive meth. HEET/water mixture works too… much cheaper. Set it on a pressure sensor and relay to kick the pump on as boost comes in, or a throttle position switch/relay.

no need to spray that shit putzing around, but its there when you want to boot it.

hmm, ill definitely look into it, it sounds like a more cost effective option then trying to fab something

if you do meth injection i have 5 gallons of VP M1, let it go for a good price
