Once I get my engine running properly again (cause somethin is still messed with the vacum lines or something) i want to supercharge it. I saw a bunch of supercharged cars this weekend at the races with blowers and have always liked the idea better than a turbo, dont ask me why.
Anyone know of anyone doing this…it would be a fabrication job for sure… But they can be fairly easy to install.
Just lookin for ideas…i saw someone who installed one on a 240, the blower from a mercedes 230 Kompressor engine…cant find that anywhere.
Sounds like a different approach but get ready for ALOT of custom work. The compressor (roots style) from a Mercedes sits ontop of the engine feeding the intake (fed downwards ) much like a V8 so i dont think you will be able to go that route since our intake inlet is side fed.
The easiest and most realistic approach is to have a centrifigual supercharger isntalled, the one that looks like a turbo but is belt driven. There is plenty of space under the hood for one of these.
Im not saying a roots superchargerinst possible since many 4 cyls have had them installed, Im just saying if you want your car to run anytime this year I would take the easier way out
it wil compensate to a certain extent , but u will need some thing extra , cheapest way to go is a rrfpr and a walbro, or u can go with piggy backs and some 370cc injectors, u could satay stock everything and run a rebic IV with an extra injector , many possible routes to go , whats your budget?
Good GOD man, dont show him that! Its a damn hairdryer hot wired into your intake. The HP probably goes down. Best part is the item is sold AS IS. This has got scam written all over it. I wanna see the sucker that buys that.
