Since this happened on my birthday and I remember watching it happen live, I wondered what it looked like now. These pictures are pretty crazy if you slide them back and forth you can see the damage after the storm and what it looks like today.

I have zero doubts about Japan’s ability to recover. Pretty surprising that the boat is still there in the first picture though.
With NK the pictures will be a little different. The before will look a lot like the after in the Japan pics, and the after will just be a lot more burnt.
