Japan hit by massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake

Tsukuba Circuit is basically gone. Fuji Speedway is hurting as well.

oh fuck!

:frowning: Fucking insane.

Well damn that sucks.

The reactor anticipation is killing me. Either end the world as we know it or become heroes but still ruin nuclear energy potential for the rest of us.

The new tilt to the earths axis is caused by the shift in that land mass. It has actually spead up the earth rotation so we are spinning fast enough to shorten each day by 1.8 micro seconds.

Since the earth wobblesa bit in its spin on its axis scientists are not 100% sure what the 4 inches and greater speed are going to do. It should massively effect the difference between the seasons at one point though. Meaning extremely hot summers and extremely cold winters for us in certain stages or the earths orbit

Oh fuck longer winters.

Nuclear power really shouldn’t be a viable source of energy anyway. It’s far too dangerous.

I dont think that applies to us, it can’t possibly get any colder here. It’s going to just have to get warmer.

Fuck yeah.

Oh, and you know what I’d tell those reactors to do? I’d tell them to look at it.

I dunno about you, but when I see something like that, I just say well would you just look at that. Just look at it!!

Not a whole lot of better options out there.

Edit: too many people on this planet.

I so took that as use them and let them pop every decade or so. lol TOO SOON

IDK if I agree with you on that one Wayne. Yeah some older reactors should be shut down and replaced with new technology. But I think the technology we have today should be able to make it safe enough. Nothing is ever 100% safe. I do think they should build reactors in more remote locations though. Just looking at that map in the past page shows most of our country’s reactors on the east coast and like nothing in the mid west… power transmission has come along way, we don’t need to be super close to our power sources.

We are allowing too many people to survive and live long now days, to the point where we all can’t coexist without issues as the planet can’t support the volume.

And if it’s bad now, at this rate it will be pushing 10 billion in a decade or two.

the technology, when operated by the right people, in the right way, IS safe. Unfortunately our world is too corrupted by power, greed, money, politics etc. No matter what, documentation will eventually get forged, safety inspections will get lax or forged, man is to imperfect to handle a technology like this that requires 100% perfection.

They build them close to bodies of water for a reason.

Fusion power, I been working on this in my basement. Really close to getting it working. Probably another week or so.

Am I the only one thinking a catastrophic natural disaster is on it’s way to clear out the population problem we have. Doesn’t history show this as a common occurrence?

Badass, lemme know if you need a hand, I can google the shit out of stuff for you.

Bedini perpetual motor > fusion :lol
