Jetta has no brakes???

2004 Jetta 1.8t

Drove the car a bit yesterday and one of the problems I have is I got no brakes! It seems like the Vac booster isnt assisting the calipers. It feels just like when the car is off and you press the brakes.

Now I have the big vac line coming off the intake manifold going over to a Golden Eagle vac distro block and then down to the booster with the one way valve in the middle. The valve is in there the correct way.

Do you think the distro block doesent allow enough vac volume to make the booster work right?

Scaryyyyy

bump

Brake booster should be on its own VAC

Might not be building enough vacume if another source is using it

yeah it didnt have the vol to run them… i ran its own and it is good to go…

BTW the car is nutts… i am a happy man.

run a direct line from the manifold to the booster like OEM. and make sure the 1 way check valve is in place.

the check was in place the whole time. and come on mikey i told you thats what it was. LISTEN MAN!!! :ahh

I did, but we had bigger fish to fry that night… lol
