a friend hooked up my bottle heater for me, no relay was used… I know nothing about wiring, i dont even know what happened, but i thought something didnt seem right. :banghead:… oh well no damage done, just need to re wire some shit.

mark your car is slow stock turbo get real…

ya a bottle heater has a lot of draw, good thing the wire power wire running down you car didnt start anything on fire. If you havnt looked at it probally melted the shething off it.

wtf is with the slow page loading…

Oh man, you guys need to get a wiring guy out there! I don’t’ want to see any problems this year wire related :frowning: Wiring is so easy to do, if you take your time and plan it out.

Ugh, yeah. Definitely need to use a relay.

The switch should control the relay…using something tiny like 18-20 gauge wire. All it needs to do is provide a ground. Then your switch will never burn up.

So what you want to do is hook up one side of the relay control to key-on (or constant) power. The other side needs to go to your switch on one side. The other side of the switch goes to ground. When the switch is on, it should connect the wire to ground.

That will give you control of a relay so you don’t have to pass power through the switch.

wait so the heater is tied into the nitrous arming switch? I’d use separate power for each and a separate switch for each. Probably just put more power through than the switch could handle, to much power going through to small a wire, arrrrrrrkkkkk.

That’s what I was thinking…

Wire them completely separate and you won’t have issues.

It is not no one can do wiring. It is jt asks the wrong people.
