Yeah, im not too worried, this car never sees rain. But i know what Joelster means about getting caught off guard by those 10 min apocalypse storms in the summer. One day on the way home from Lancaster i hit one of those at the big turn where Transit turns into Southwestern. I was on slicks and skinnies and i Tokyo drifted the whole thing lol
Looks good  Does this mean you will race Joelster this year?
Want to mail me some AC parts?
Love it!
On the topic of HVAC…did you happen to weigh what you removed?
What ya need. PM me.
I was down to race him 2 years ago, but he didn’t want to roll? :gotme:
If he is done racing on the street i can understand and respect that, but i seem to remember him rolling against Choda not too long ago? Regardless, to answer your question, yes i am down to run anyone with a comparable setup, should be a lot of fun this year, i really do want to go to the track more
Here are a couple more engine bay shots, it moved out of the garage under its own power yesterday. Please excuse the wiring mess by the PCM and the disconnected brake lines lol
Cant WAIT to get rid of the hideous duracrap battery. You can see in these pics in the sunlight how well the engine bay paint matches. I am very pleased at how this came out.
Awesome, maybe I missed why the bay was painted… was the exterior sprayed some time ago and the bay was never done?
Post some videos so we can hear it!
From the factory, GM only hits the engine bay with a base color. It almost looks like primer :barf:
My battery leaked some time ago and ate through the existing paint and the whole engine bay was looking haggered. I will get a good vid later when i get home, i have to run it up to operating temp anyway to re torque the rockers and dump the shit oil.
Yeah buddy good stuff
I love the fast beeping at 1:34, lol. beep… beep… beep!!
Car looks like it moves out though!
Not quite, but jims gona be really happy with this work. Maybe more like studderin 1.0 3 years ago that went 10.6s.

2.0 is more like this year :snky:
Ya these look just like my old setup but the car is silver in the pics. Not sure what gears and tires, But thats a big thing, that a 2step, good shocks and learning to use them… and a good clutch you can adjust for. It will be cool to see you at the track more, and dail the car in good, it will go a ton faster just with that.
I have a heater, and defroster, But I hear guys run the RainX Fog with no heat and its a big help. A towel works for the track, but driving around on the street when it gets cold nights, or rain. The towel thing sucks, your not gona be wiping down the windows like the track guys say. You can’t even reach the windshield were you look out of sitting in the seat with a seat belt on in a 4th gen. haha. I use the heat almost daily for the last month of the year. I keep the car on the road all year drive it when its snowing at night before the start salting, its been really mild for snow last few years. But I dont think you drive it for that long when it gets in the 30’s.
I see you got the back seat brackets but how much else did you get? Like the seat belt brakets, armrest, other stuff. You think you got alot of stuff, but then you look again and get another bucket filled 10-25#'s with more stuff
