Not a peep yet… The court will be sending notification to them, and us, of the default judgment. We’ll see what happens after that… I think it’s going to take a while to see anything… scumbag!

I just did the small claims court thing myself a few weeks ago. Chasing a contractor that did some amazingly shitty work and left a huge mess behind.

According to the attorney I worked with on my issue, if the person you have a judgment against refuses to pay you can apparently have the county sheriff seize and auction their property. Just need to find it and tell them where it is.

With your situation, it shouldn’t be too hard- take the judgment to the sheriff’s office and see about having a car or two seized from their lot.
