Just picked this up with the intention of flipping it

Negative

Kinda looks like it, but it’s not

Nice grab! Ive been keeping my eyes on the sl65s. Ever since I sold the 55 ive wanted to step up to the v12 game.

So classy:

Jermy Clarkson once said every car enthusiast at one point in their life needs to own a 12 cylinder. This was a factor in me selling my V10 touareg for my W12. The power delivery in a 12 cylinder is special. A twin turbo 12 cylinder is even more special.

And yet, with a few mods…

A friend of mine in Canada bought one and it was a NIGHTMARE with pricy maintenance - but such a cool car.
If you’re going to buy one - this is the guy you buy it from that will have the knowhow to properly sort it out before you buy it from a standard private party.
I dig it

Luckily, coils and plugs were done here about a year ago. That’s a big deal. All 4 MAP sensors replaced. ABC suspension works perfectly, but we’ll do a full 10L flush on it. Needs a passenger seat occupant detection pad, but I’ll end up putting a fooler in the harness, since there will never be a child seat in this car.

Next up, flash, upgraded air/water cooler pump, and resonator delete.

Fixed, gotta fit the scene!

Facepalm.

Rear mufflers gone. Nice change, without being overly obnoxious.

I want to hear this thing. More sound clip.

Picked up a pair of these

And a pair of these

Should be interesting to see how it goes.

So you’re going from trying to flip it for profit to trying to flip it over backwards on a launch?

LOL. It goes pretty well, but maybe not that well.

no shit

can’t tell whether those wheels look like they’re from the 1930s or the 1990s.

I hear they’re light weight too

LOL. Yeah.

Stock 16" wheels from an early CLK320. 13# each.

In for launch videos!

I had a set of those I think they were 14lbs each. Totally lost them. No idea where they went.
