so i just put a scratch in my month old wheels. it barely rubbed the paint off the surface and i need something to paint over the scratch because i’m sure it won’t be visible with some paint. what kind of paint should i use? model paint? touch up paint? they’re flat black rota’s btw
ah… flat black touchup paint?
Or, just buy another one if you are that picky… b/c Rotas are cheap
or, just leave it alone… and call it a battle scar…
i’m not trying to spend another 100 bucks for one scratch but i’m really pissed i messed them up. aren’t there any detail shops or anything that refinish wheels?
haha… it will cost you at least 100 bucks to refinish one wheel…
Maybe someone can airbrush the scratch… don’t know…
take it to chips away on 51
when you rub your finger over it you can’t evern tell there’s a scratch, it just needs a touch of paint
ill hook u up… i just refinished my wheels… flat blacks easy to match up…
these are 15 inch konig helium’s on ziex falkens… things only weigh 11 lbs a peice…there about 3 yrs old and the paint was faded alil cause of brake heat and the car being from ocean city… but they turned out pretty nice
call me up 412-613-9478. i’d appreciate the help
spend $10 on two cans of flat black krylon, a scuff pad, and a deck of index cards.
$10 to refinish all four wheels
index cards???
to go between the wheel and the tire
buy a grey scotchbrite pad and a can of SEM trim Black. Scuff it, clean it, spray it. DONE!
color it in with a black sharpie

If it’s that small and that imperceptible to the touch you should be able to take care of it with a $0.50 model paint brush and a tiny tiny little bit of flat black paint. I wouldn’t dick around refinishing the whole wheel, buy a can of cheap black paint, get a little model brush and trim it down to 1/2 width or whatever (You can go down to 2 or 3 bristles if it’s that fine), clean the wheel and do a touch up. You’re going to scratch them again, so there’s no point in a whole refinish for something that minor IMO.
