Amen, off the top of my head I can name a half a dozen people who never finished, I’ve been building mine for exactly a year now, and I would never bet on my car being done and racing somebody. I know I’m building it, but I’m not counting on finishing it, nothing is guranteed, things come up, plans change, fundings change, priorities change, I wouldn’t count the chickens before they hatch.

Oh I agree. There comes to a point where the extra power needed to push the mass becomes an issue: clutch, internals, etc… I wish my car is lighter but it is what it is.
