actually my k20 makes around 240hp right now off spray…srt-4 stock makes 215…torque may be more bc i only make about 170tq :mwahaha
if you are gonna compare your engine with spray then you gotta add spray to the srt motor… :kicklow
ok still, i will bet i make more…i make more motor for motor :confused :stfu
stock K20 vs stock srt4… srt WINS!!
ive already raced one stock…actually both with the same mods, CAI and slicks…we both had them…i won, maybe in a rsx type-s it will lose bc it weighs 3600 almost 3700 lbs…but in my 2220 lb car its faster, i know from experience :nono
we are talking about motors and which has more power, not what car is faster.
K20A from a 2007 civic type-R (there are many versions of the K20, so I gave you the advantage picked the most powerful one)
Power: 222 bhp
Torque: 159 ft·lbf
SRT4 (2004+ model)
Power: 230 hp
Torque: 250 ft·lbf
eat it! :stfu
therefore, your car with a srt4 swap would be faster than your current setup with a K20 :mwahaha
- it’s a neon :confused
2.- Turbo compressor
- 2,429 cc 2.4 liters 4 in-line front engine with 8.1 compression ratio, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder EDV
- Premium unleaded fuel
- Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 6.5
- Multi-point injection fuel system
- Main 47 liter premium unleaded fuel tank
- Power: SAE and 160 kW , 215 HP @ 5,400 rpm; 245 ft lb , 332 Nm @ 2,000 rpm
- neon motor is more powerful than yours
- doesn’t matter, turbo is stock.
and you are giving stats about the 2003 model. I’m talking 2004+… reading is fundamental
K23? look up the specs on that…more torque and more hp…dont say i got off topic either because you said any honda engine, and that honda engine happens to make 240hp and 260tq :stfu
I didn’t want to do this to you, but I guess I’m gonna have to. The newest SRT4 engine (from caliber)
280 hp and 260 ft·lbf
SUPER MFing OWNED!
we were talking about the neon motor 2004-06…reading is fundamental again, and you said any honda motor, K series is #1 obviously and the K23 WINS! Honda>Dodge
Honda makes a motor with 590hp and 383tq :mwahaha
(F1 motor :stfu, you said any Honda motor :shifty )
2007 caliber would be included in the 2004+ category. yeah, reading is fundamental, right?
not my fault you wont admit that srt4 motor > your precious K20 :crackup
Well this got interesting quick.
Alright so we’ve come to the conclusion that your K-20 Civic can beat an SRT 4 like you mentioned. Maybe you went against a not so great driver, reguardless though, you beat the car. Awesome.
On a more serious note, who really gives a hoot?
Let’s see some more rare engine swaps.
You can compare BHP numbers all day on cars but what matters is what the WHP is. You can have a car with 300 BHP but only puts 200 of it to the ground, and you can have a different car that has the same BHP but puts 240 to the ground. Just because the neon has more BHP does not mean its faster by any means. However, I do believe that you said at some point in time that your K20 without nitrous runs a mid or low 14 which is what a stock Srt-4 runs so the race would be a race of skill not who has the bigger engine. But then again bring your car back to stock, including the engine swap and you lose which brings me to my next point…
The thing that bothers me the most is when someone who just got done dumping $$ into their car goes out and races a against stock car that before smoked them and this time wins and goes around bragging to everyone their car is better. No it will never be better because the other person still hasnt put a dime into their car and it took you $$ just to get to be even with them. Its a stupid principle to compare anyones car with. The way it should be done is $$ to $$. You can take your Honda and put $5K into it, and then ill take my VR4 and put $5K into it. Then it will be fair and you will still lose…end of discussion.
Okay first off, i didnt go around racing people with a civic and lose then went and dumped the money into it then went bragging…second, you could go and dump $5K into yours and $5K into mine, still wouldn’t make a difference because the prices of parts varies and one person would most likely getting more for their money. Also weight comes into play when your car weighs a fuckload and mine weighs close to nothing…the older srt-4’s aren’t shit unless theyre a stage 2 or stage 3…my car off spray will and has beat an srt-4, one which wasn’t stock, the street and the track are two different worlds :stfu
older srt-4s still put out better numbers than your K20 :nod
disclaimer: I’d rather swap in a K20 that a srt4 engine if I have the choice, but the srt4 does put out better stock numbers and thats all we are talking about.
You can pick on my cars weight all day long haha but I would rather have AWD AWS than FWD any day of the week. Not only that but my car runs 13.6 bone stock, no nitrous, no boost control, no slicks. Pretty sure yours is like 16 or 17 something stock I believe. :bore
Well yeah if my car came stock twin turbo awd I would hope it would be mid 13s, and as far as my car stock I don’t know, your talking a 4 door civic from 1992 , which is where all the fast hondas around here started out, as "17 second cars :bore "
