We just finished a full build for a customer in boston. The car was brought to us as a bare shell frsh from the painter, 2 parts cars later, thousands of new oem parts, and hours searching the internet we finally finished her up.

yeah, but the reason is still the same. the heads still flow more. thats why they have vtec killer cams also. for when somebody wants to eliminate vtec and gain a broader powerband… they use the b series vtec heads. bc even without vtec, they still flow better than the b18a/b20 heads. they even make vtec killer cams for the k motors as well.
tsx motors are relatively hard to comw by and the accord and crv motors have economy vtec. The k20 heads are easy to find… Have 50 degrees of vtc adjstment stock… Larger ports…and are made for top end power.
