Hey guys I just purchased a kit off ebay from CxRacing, i’ve never really heard of them but figured i’d give it a try! Sadly they gave me not enough bolts to mount the wastegate, no biggie got some from part source…
Also the four bolts that bolt the turbo to the manifold… man, i had to make them into studs because in every hole they would be too long and hit the manifold! So it was either go get new ones or hacksaw them off. These problems took a little bit of time but…
Im working on the intake side now about to mount the intercooler, took the crash bumper off, so now all i have to do is make the holes for the piping and get a smaller battery…
NOW… XD, The turbo exhaust flange is not going to bolt up to the downpipe, i can already tell… One of the master cylinder break lines is in the way! I have about one and a half to two inches I need to move them. Are these lines easily bendable without raping them?
I dont want to take it apart and have to bleed the system, but if i have to I will. Guess im biking to work… lol
Il get a picture of it tomorrow
I am confused to the 1/4" Barbed fitting coming out the headers too. Is that for the EGR its nowhere near the same size? Its screwed in right on the 4th cylinder pipe before it all goes into one. Thanks! If not im wondering if i need to buy the egr blockoff plate.
I suppose capping the pipe coming from the Egr is also an option?
yeah sounds like egr…other than that it’d be your o2 (iirc, egr is upstream of o2). egr i remember was something around 22 or 23mm. o2’s a bit smaller but neither is nowhere close to a 1/4 barb. find some adapters and try to make it fit or just block off your egr if you want to go that route.
it’s for an EGT gauge. i know an autometer probe threads right in. if you aren’t using an EGT gauge then just put a bolt in it.
brake lines are easily bendable to a point. you should be able to bend it out of the way by hand, just make sure it doesn’t bend at the end of the fitting on the brake master cylinder or it will be very hard to remove if you have to later. also make sure it doesn’t kink anywhere. really take your time doing this because if you kink the line you’ll have to replace it.
Alright, I got the intercooler mounted thursday as well as all the piping and a smaller battery, I brought it to Rowetech in Oakville friday the have to custom fab the f’in manifold cause the angle is shit, the turbo elbow running to the intercooler hits my strut tower eventually it could pose problems…
These douch’s are gonna get a negative comment for sure, im not paying shipping and restocking just to send it back, lol whatever… I need the car and i will post pictures tuesday or wednesday for you guys to see
3" exhaust is going in, haven’t yet decided what I wan’t but I promise it’ll be wicked :), also have a greddy e-manage on the way and Autometre boost guage.
I’m still not sure what im going to do for injectors they’re pretty expensive. I ordered a new intake air temp sensor since mine was raped where the connector wires went into the sensor… $86 jesus! Anyway, had to customize the Maf for everything to fit.
Yeah I capped off the egr, im waiting on a reply from the seller… I told him his product is shit and i can send him pictures tuesday before the shop re fabs the manifold… Hopefully I can get some reimbursement, I just finished up the crashbumper so it’ll fit the intercooler.
Picked up the smallest battery I could find however Im going to get a battery relocation kit eventually… We’ll see how she runs, seemd pretty good even without the Iat or exhaust/ o2 hooked up at 2am rofl… Just having trouble uploading pictures on the thread.
