KA24 + 25PSI + Lots of timing + Old Gas + Knock

Well this is what you can expect if you fuck with a Turbo KA24DE LOL
These are pics of the #2 Piston, the rest were fine. The Rod and main bearing around #2 were also damaged due to the fuel and combustion gas contamination!!!

Are those the stockers? I thought you built your block, so what are you going to do now?

LOL

What a fun way to disasemble a motor, impacting EVERYTHING off.

how many km of 25 psi is on that piston? lol

is there a problem with using and impact to disassemble an engine? seeing as how theres no increasing restistance your fine. and its like a million times faster you just have to use common sense when somthing isnt comming.

Was gonna build it but i dont trust anyone in Edmonton to build me an engine so im just gonna throw in a stocker again LOL

For a properly built KA you have to get a Built longBlock from AMS.

true that, too bad the alty isnt going FI…

Did you just run it off the enthalpy ecu to 25psi ? or did you manually pull a few more deg?

Base timing was set at 23 degrees…3 degrees more than stock.

25 psi, lol, so you wanted to blow it up?

23deg haha u crazy guy. ka24de runs 26deg na and enthalpy sets max to 6deg for det.
25psi on 9.1 comp engine that 7deg max timing tops,6+3 =9. U were just passing mbt , must of been crazy fast…

till you broke your engine that is, lol. :partyman:

you know what this means…upgrade time :partyman:
