KADE PS delete

Swapping a DE into my '90 coupe soon and I want to delete the power steering because I am manly as fuck. (read: lazy)

I know about this way pictured below but I think it looks kind of ghetto.

I would much rather set it up like a KA24E where the alt and water pump run off the same belt. I have about 426354315 KADEs sitting around to look at but I have no KAEs kicking to compare parts to. Does anyone know if you can swap parts (alternator bracket?) from a KAE onto a KADE to line the alternator pulley up with the water pump pulley to avoid running the ghetto belt?

You can actually, I just read up on that the other day, forget where it was though. Exactly like you said, using the kae bracket and some spacers. I’ll try to find it again, iirc it was on nico.

The way you have it set up with that short belt between the 2 pulleys, what happens when you lose tension?

Exactly, I like to have my belts at a certain tension.
