I have a 05 636 now. it is a good starter bike and it is faster than my buddies GSXR 750.
go with the 636 my friends have them and they are really nice bikes
also dont worry about insurance its going to be around 500-600 dollars as long as you go liability only.
when you fianance a bike in under 20k you dont need full coverage so techinquly you could get a 636 have it totally done up and still be able to pay just liability insurance on anything you get. most importantly just make sure its comfortable its a toy a fun dangerous toy and you are going to want to ride alot so make sure you are comfortable it will make you feel safer
i want to know if its faster the the carb gsxr 1100 its sitting by in the storage
We just had this discussion with the insuracne thing. You have to see how its being finance, IE a Suzki Card, Bank and so forth before you make claims of not needing insurance.
Also as Sinister and I were discussing we don;t remember seeing a Kawa Card that offers that.
Another thing to remeber is this kid is only 16. Financing is going to be dificult and the insurance WILL BE an issue
i was gona pay the insurance off at ounce also
Insurance is a yealy thing. Not a one time deal. And for a 600 and your age it could quite possibly equal uwards of $2000-$3000 a year.
I;m telling you stop asking questions and start calling insurance carriers.
Unless your slinging crack I would love to know where your getting the money to buy a new 636 and pay for insuracne for the full year all at once at 16 years of age.
:blue:
Hey I just tried calling a few places including my insurance company which is Dairyland (part of sentry) and they said they would need all your information to run a quote. Also they stated that because of the age and the bike being a performance bike Full coverage (If you need it) is going to cost you over several thousand a year. PLUS you have to have at least 2 years of some type of motrocycle / dirtbike riding experience.
She told me she did a quote a few days ago for an R6 and the kid was 16. His quote was ruffly $12,000 a year due to his age and the bike.
So like I said start calling.
Before anyone says they are expensive, They insure my 12R for 450 a year for comprehensive and Liability. If I wanted to add collision to make it full coverage it would only cost me 800 a year. Not bad considering when I picked up my bike in July initally it was $2600 for full coverage a year (which I didn’t get). She also told me that once I’m at the end of my first year with them it will go down even more.
lol ya i know its a yearly thing i got the money dotn wry about it
So you have 12 grand a year to pay for insuance and 8 grand to buy a bike? Please tell me what you do for a living so I can as well. :hsugh:
x2
why would it be 12k a year?
by making it 12K per year, they’re saying that they KNOW FOR SURE he’s gonna wreck the damn thing into something and that they’ll have to cover the damage on the bike and w/e else he screws up…
O boy
pics of chicken strips before claiming experience, riding and flat spoting the tires isnt riding its cruising
lol i been savign for along time
you have only been around for a short period of time and again
Oboy
wtf would you know quick… just cuz its not an RR, the God of all things on 2 wheels, doesn’t mean it can’t be “ridden” …
what would you consider experience? riding around on 1 wheel all the time, thinkin ur cool? trying ur best to bash your brains in?
chicken strips indicate riding ablities, thats all im saying
pics of chicken strips all im saying
and if you think i can only ride on one wheel your just silly
