Keyless Entry on my F150, HELP PLEASE

I Just purchaced a 2010 F150 SuperCrew XLT
5.4L V8, 4x4, 6.5’ bed

the truck came with 2 key fobs but with no key pad under the door handle.
I dont know why some XLT’s do and some dont.
Mine has every option(mirror turing signals, dimming mirrors, power everything, sync, power back window.

I know i can buy a ford after market one that sticks on but i do not want that

The only thing that it does not have is the kep pad under the door handle
I can order a new OEM door handle with the key pad on it for 135.(not bad)

I asume that the wire harness in the door has the female part of the plug just sitting in the door. Im hoping to just plug n play.

I could not find too much info on the net about it

Me question is more about the wire harness and the programing. Is it there? and how would i program?

If any one has any experience with this please let me know

I spoke with my installer at Basil Ford and he did not believe the factory wiring is in tact to add the keypad in.

Those keypads can come in handy, but 99.9% of the time they’re unnecessary.

you will need a new BCM as the one thats currently in your vehicle does not have the keyless entry programed into it. when your order the new one it will come with the keyless entry code card taped on it. the wiring runs through the drivers door of coarse but is not in there if not factory installed. so you will need the wiring harness also.
