When I was a kid I went to the Washington mint for a tour with my family. They had a box with 100 bands of 100 $100 bills that you could hold. So yea I’ve held a million bucks, and it’s surprisingly not heave at all! too bad it wasn’t mine and there were armed guards all over the place so my odds of getting away were probably less then my odds of getting hit by lightning… twice 
I’ve held about 100k… numerous times. most of my own money was 8k…
ive held 400k+… 91crxsi is right, not as heavy or large in volume as you would think…still pretty sweet though
i’d just be paranoid the bills were like marked or counterfeit or some bullshit

I would have to believe with my luck, they would be counterfeit.
But someone who carries around 10k in cash and is clumsy enough to forget it somewhere deserves to lose it. I would be making damn sure it wouldn’t leave my hands/pocket. Unfortunately, I am a bitch and would probably let my better half talk me into turning it in 
And the most I’ve held at one time was 42k. Felt baller for a minute!

More, I would stick around for a while to see if anyone came looking for something. Maybe ask if anyone had come to the lost and found. Call in a day to see if there were any developments before I came forward. There are lots of ways to be available to return the money while remaining discrete. I sure wouldn’t entrust it to someone else. I honestly, would treat the situation in the most ethical way I can while making sure I didn’t screw my good fortune by forfeiting the find to someone else.
In the great scheme of things $10,000 really isn’t that impressive and I would have no problem giving it back to its “rightful” owner, but in the same breath I’d say it is obvious anyone would rather keep it.
meh…i once found a wallet on the train. cash/license/cards/etc. called the owner the next day.
turns out he sold ad space at the stadiums in NYC and a few weeks later sent me some tickets to the Mets.
A million bucks in hundreds weighs about 25 lbs. Not heavy at all.
And I probably would’ve used the money to buy one of the cars for sale on this board, prolly the '98 M6. haha
keep it… buy the wife something super nice (but not suspiciously nice), pay off current debt and put a couple grand away for a trip.
maybe a few hundred on cars.
