I wanted a semi ok welder, well we got a plasma cutter and a decent welder instead 
Edit: Now I’m beginning to wonder, is this a good welder? I can’t find one for sale anywhere or much material to go on.
Never heard of that welder. That plasma is a nice old unit, but if that’s the original torch on it, consumables are hard to get these days for it. You might be able to get knock off parts from American Torch Tip, or Thermacut. Check and see what torch is on it. Maybe someone upgraded it to more modern PCH or SL torch. If that’s the case, parts are readily available.
I sort of let this thread die but I’ll be doing a ton more work to the shop in the coming months and hopefully get it to the point that I imagine it to be. Doing too many things at once, including in the shop, while trying to fix it up at the same time. Here’s what it looked like today. What a mess! Some of the shop builds here are motivating me to get organized and all that!
