Knockouts, a hair salon chain planning about 450 stores nationally, will open a store on Wolf Road in Colonie.

The chain’s salons feature a boxing and martial-arts theme. They also feature skimpily dressed, attractive female hairdressers.

“The media calls us the ‘Hooters of Haircutting,’” said Tom Friday, founder and CEO of the Texas-based chain.

The Wolf Road store, expected to open in about a month, will be the first Knockouts in New York state.

Friday founded the chain in 2002 and began franchising in 2005. Knockouts offers massage and waxing services as well.

In Colonie, the top-of-the-line “heavyweight” haircut will cost about $25, and features two shampoos, two massages, and, of course, a haircut.
Friday conceded that the chain hires hairdressers based on their looks, but added that they also have to have scissor skills.

“If his hair gets trashed, he’s not coming back,” Friday said.
Will a Hooters-like hair salon work in the Capital Region? Maybe not. After all, the area’s only Hooters, at Crossgates Mall, closed in 2007.

Eh, I could not care less about the looks of the person that cuts my hair. I’m sure it’ll get a lot of customers, though.

Oh, and @Suzy’s in Lawton, OK, you could get a haircut and a REAL ‘massage’, if you know what I mean. Well, thats what my friend said anyway…

From what I understand “Knockouts” has not have had a female customer yet.

I do however think, that means they are doing something right though :lol

I guess, just does nothing for me. If I’m gonna overpay for a service from a female, it’s sure as shit gonna be a lot more thrilling than a haircut.

$25 for a haircut? Fuck that

Ive just gotta go to a guy to get my hair cut. Most of the time when Ive gone to a woman she fucked it up. I was going to my sister inlaw for a while but then she cut off my sideburns when I had a full beard.

I go to an old italian barber that has cut my hair on and off since my first haircut. Sucks that he might be retiring at the end of the year.

:rofl

Only you PJB, only you

:rofl

i’ll keep getting my hair cut for free from myself.

Do their massages come with happy endings?

Regardless 1 guys been cutting my hair since I was 4. Everywhere else I went always fucked it up, cut it to short diden’t cut it enough the first couple of trys etc.

Just recently I took a chance and went with the guy who’s right next to my work, and continue to go to him for convenience. Although the first time he took a straight razor to the back of my neck was a little scary :ohnoes Never had a barber straight razor the little hairs on the back of my neck before, I love it now thou haha, keeps it from growing in to quick.

my barber does that with the razor too

Friend works there

Eh, fux that. I’ll buzz my head at home and go to night moves

im gonna comment on this simply because ive been to Lawton, OK. what a town. hopefully suzy’s sources the women from surrounding areas.

and i will not pay 25$ for a haircut. i can wash my own hair.

Oh, they were dirty crack ho’s, but I was 18 and in the military, fresh out of basic. You’ve been there my friend:thumbup

fantastic sams ftw

word upp

i rather stick with my barber. traditional barber shop ftw - and better prices. plus there is a kegerator.

I dont think I could let someone shave my face with a razor like that. All Id be able to think about is “Is today the day that this motherfucker finally tweaks and slits someones throat” :lol

i like my barber. they got cute receptionists all the time. look like CP. im good.
