I have no idea where I left off here. I have the TRX bottom end assembled. I had to send the piston to the machine shop so it will clear the over sized valves then I can complete that motor.
Got the the other can am bottom end back FINALLY.
I also remember he had a timing chain tensionor fail and could hear it slapping around. I see now what it was hitting
We where racing at a monster truck show. My buddy’s honda was overheating, so he pulled off. Temp sensor wire broke off so we ended up grounding it to run all the time.
At the same time, he lost all electrical power when off, had to bump start the bike. Seeing we only had 5-8 mins between heats, I didn’t have time to pull plastics. checked the basics and told him not to stall.
Get home to find this right under the rear fender behind the battery.
My dad volunteered me to work on someones 02 honda forman 450 with electric shift. Would not shift into neutral or first, and these want to see neutral to start. The owner just assumed the trans was bad and started to strip the quad to pull the motor. He almost had the motor out when I got there. 8 10mm bolts later from pulling the front cover and electric shift motor off the front, he only needed $8 & $10 gears. Absolutely no need to pull the motor as this was done with the motor still sitting on the mounts.
Missing two teeth and the gear sheered off into the bearing on the shift motor.
Then missing one tooth on the gear it meshes with.
