Lambrecht Chevrolet Auction

Just found out someone I know may be bringing one or more of these vehicles home. That would be awesome if I get to see a brand new old car/truck complete with window sticker.

They live in NY? I guarantee I’ll probably get a call if/when they put it on the road because the office will question how a 40-50 yr old car can be new :rofl

Yeah, it’s my wifes uncle. That would be an epic piece of paperwork though! It would also be an epic phone call too.

“Hi, yeah, um, this is a 1967… how can it be “new”?” :rofl

I’d answer “because lambrecht!”

YES! LOL!

I would say it shifted into 3rd gear and blew right past the inflation rate. $397,500 in 4 cars, that had window stickers of maybe $11,200, which is more than they actually paid for of course.

awesome

It’s strange looking at this thing. It’s a neat truck for sure. Unfortunately, the time sitting in a field was not kind to it. The inside of the block looks like Howe caverns :-\

Love that truck

Could u bore it or is.it really shitty. The body on that thing is beautiful

When I say inside I mean the the literal inside. The water jacket/passages are pretty gunked up, but I’m sure the cylinder walls are not nearly as bad. The body on this thing is damn near perfect though. It’s incredible because you couldn’t do that up here without watching it disintegrate.

HOWE CAVERNS IS FUCKING AWESOME.

Its cool you know someone who bought one of the trucks, I was wondering when cars from that auction would start showing up as projects or resales. Does he have plans for it? Like drop a motor in it and drive it?

I think he’s just going to get it going the way it is. The engine should run in it’s current state, it just doesn’t look pretty from having water chilling inside of it for the past 60 years. They are rebuilding the carb and checking over a few other things. I believe he is going to put a new bed in it. Other than that, I think it will stay pretty much the same as it is now. I don’t know if he’s even going to register it, but could you blame him? Hard to believe, a brand new 1964 C10.
