Laminova Intercoolers, Anyone Used Them in Supercharger Application??

Hey Guys,

I found someone selling a Laminova Intercooler for a JRSC at a really nice deal.
He said they will fit right inside the JRSC for an Integra.

I have never seen these before, but I did a little research and found out that they are very efficient and in most cases very expensive.

Have any of you guys ever ran one of these Intercoolers on your Jackson setup?

Experiences, Ups, Downs, please post them.

Here is a PDF of the Specs and Materials used to Manufacture them

here is the manufacturers Website

This is what they look like

Gm uses that style on the

cobalt SS (sc)/ redlines

GM PN is [email=“89018061”]89018061
GMPD is $5.17, (1) box, and 4 tubes come in a box

They sound bad ass, i might try to make a lowerintake to fit them on my gtp, over the ford probe heater core Ive been useing.

are there really going to many advantages over a water to air?

the air has less distance to travel, so less boost lost. id imagine it can cool the air better too considering most s/c setups use water to air and we all know s/c generate more heat.

water can be cooler then ambeint air
water can absorb heat 4 times faster then air (somthing like that?)

wtf@?@?@?@? I gotta look into these things a little more.

more service area than flat cores.

Studderin that link you found to cobaltss is pretty sick!
Did that guy totally fab up that end cap to accommodate the IC’s?

That’s what I need to find out for the JRSC, what needs to be done to get like
3 of these cores into the manifold?

The guy that’s selling them said its not a plug and play modification, He said there
would definitely be some custom fab work that would need to be done.

nice

No, he just modified the stock one to change the flow.

To make this happen on a JRSC, you would pretty much have to follow the
same process as LHT right?

Cut open the manifold, weld the intercoolers in, and set up a pump system for coolant?

Setting up a pump system is super easy, basic system would be pump, front rad. and some hose to connect everything. GM IC pump is like $100 and is very nice. I love mine. As far as putting the cores in the JSRC manifold I have no idea, what does it look like and is there enough room?

I wouldn’t weld them.

Here is a link to LHT’s website, they show the build process on installing laminova coolers into the JRSC mani, They dont mention welding either. I wonder, do they just stay in place?
