umm i dont have the TV yet, it will be here in 7 business days.
Anyone notice problems with poor input signals in 120hz?
It seems jumpy to me sometimes. Playing a movie in my xbox over HDMI in 120hz sometimes gives a jumpy effect when the scene changes or during some really fast times.
Xbox 360 games run great tho it seems. Does it depend on the input?
I would ‘guess’ that it may be due to the high refresh rate not properly syncing with the tv signal, although youd think that it would of been addressed while being designed.
since NTSC 1080i runs @ 29.97fps (I think) and your TV’s refresh rate is so high, you might be seeing a fenomenon sort of like screen tearing. The xbox is probably running at either 30 or 60fps, which isn’t noticable since their evenly divisable, where 29.97 isn’t.
makes sense but who knows if it’s correct
When i first saw a 120hz LCD i was blown away at how different it looked… Almost too good.
Not sure if i liked it.
my samsung tv has options for low/med/high for 120hz in the menu. You can even turn it off. Putting it on low seems to make it less jumpy.
Ya running my shitty standard def directv I keep it off but with video games i turn it on and it looks nice.
Trying to see how a bluray movie would look next in 120hz
