My house is the same way Onyx. Mine tend to run fairly cool though. Definitely no where near “burn your finger” hot.

I think some of you are confusing multi cree high output LED with simple traditional leds.
I like my LED light bar on the truck, crazy output. but it doesn’t get hot enough to melt any snow… so in snow it’s useless.
Yes, I’ve gotten the plain bulbs and put them in a sled. They look good, but a traditional halogen on the other sled is much better.
2nd set was the LEDS that use a ballast in a friend’s brodozer. They are instantly on, no warm up. He has HIDs in his fog lights and they are brighter than the headlights.
These where kits from eBay, so I’m not sure if there is something better made?
Bad management put Switch out of business, but this product has been developed and the patents should have been sold off by now. I expect that one of the larger manufacturers will pick up the patent and release something similar.
