I tried running a pit bull over in my truck a few times, but the fucker kept getting away. I called the cops a few times and they did nothing so I decided to help out the neighborhood a little. I haven’t seen it out since mid summer but I will get it if I ever see it again. I fucking hate dogs to begin with and a loose pit bull is even worse. There are like 25-30 kids outside under the age of 10 everyday in my little neighborhood. fuck that, i’m not taking a chance of any one of them getting hurt.

if it’s loose and attacking you have the right to protect yourself… if you are man enough, just let it bite you and then you can do what you want… sue the dude, kill the dog, or whatever… but if it doesnt bite you and you just shoot it… then shit could go down… from you getting sued or just a minor ‘unsafe firing of a gun within a residential area’.

best bet is to call police a lot and even call animal control and make shit up, like the dog is chained up a lot, hardly fed, and not sought after… those animal rights wieners are very proactive and will probably be out within a week to check the dog…

the only reason a pit is mean, is because of neglect or if it was taught to be mean… if it’s neglected then call animal control, if it was taught, sue the owner (after somthing happens)

and DO NOT MACE it… wtf? like that won’t just enrage the dog… my dog would be ultra jacked if you pepper sprayed him… at that point you’re better off macing him with a .45

  1. cops do shit… ever been pulled over :finger: … they’re duty is residential ordinance… there is no law against dogs or ‘mean’ dogs. animal control was suggestedand probably the best option
  2. people are assholes, b ut you have to have at least contact the owner ONCE to prove that it’s an ongoing issue… you can’t NEVER talk to the owner then make a big deal to ‘authorities’ without ever contacting the source.

  1. where I live there is a law against loose dogs, there is a leash law here.
  2. I never contacted the owner because I never knew whose dog it was.

  4. do you let your pit bull run around the neighborhood? A loose dog is a lot different than a dog on a leash or being walked by the owner, i have no problem with this, but I do have a problem with loose dogs.

i’m talking about bravada’s issue…not yours.

yeah a leash law is required in places like downtown and other places i lived in allegheny county… but in greensburg there was no leash law… so that’s per district.

he knows the owner is his neighbor…

my dog is never loose… that IS unacceptable… i’m not on the side of the dog owner… just saying what i think… the LOGICAL approach would be to file a complaint (as done) and to contact animal control.

i have heard of a male pitbull that was just the greatest nicest dog in the world, attack a owner because she got to close to a her other female that was in heat. these were both family pets and were around children.

My dog is docile as all hell that even my 72 year old grandmother comes over and wathces him if me and jenn are out of town, yet I had to pull him back with all my strenth from a drunk that got too close once. Bo wanted to rip his face off. There are little children that are shorter than bo that come up to him and pet him right in the face and bo is happier than a pig in shit.

Point being just because the dog is a certian breed doesn’t mean they are satan. Too many breeds get too many stereotypes due to the media and the people who own them.

I love dogs, i mean, I’ve had a Pit before, I’ve had Rottweilers, Shepards, all that stuff… Its just the fact that this dog is a mean son of a bitch, its come after me in the past, and theres little doubt it will do it again.

I filed the complaint b/c I want a written record so that if I do blast the shit out of it, there is a record of me having a problem in the past.

The problem is the owners never let it in, its ALWAYS outside (whether its 90 degrees or 30 below), and it gets off the chain probably at least 2 times a month. That is fuckin rediculous.

Ive called Animal control before… Hell, the cop called them in front of me on Sunday and they said they’d call me back… Haven’t heard a damn thing yet.
